Alireza Dabir: I am thinking about retirement

Dabir who is continuing his treatment in the United Stated, told the reporters “My previous operation hasn’t improved my shoulder injury, and I might have to undergo a further operation. At the current time, doctor’s cannot give me an estimate as to whether I will be able to wrestle again or not.”

A dejected Dabir added “since the 2004 Olympics I have been away from wrestling. I have been studying, and don’t even know anything about wrestling’s new rules”.

Alireza Dabir is arguably Iran’s most popular wrestler, and is well known around the world. He has won 5 Olympic and World titles in his career.
