TEHRAN- (Iran Sports Press): Despite nearly two months since Alireza Dabir’s shoulder operation, his condition hasn’t improved, and the former world and Olympic champion is contemplating retirement from wrestling
Dabir who is continuing his treatment in the United Stated, told the reporters “My previous operation hasn’t improved my shoulder injury, and I might have to undergo a further operation. At the current time, doctor’s cannot give me an estimate as to whether I will be able to wrestle again or not.â€Â
A dejected Dabir added “since the 2004 Olympics I have been away from wrestling. I have been studying, and don’t even know anything about wrestling’s new rulesâ€Â.
Alireza Dabir is arguably Iran’s most popular wrestler, and is well known around the world. He has won 5 Olympic and World titles in his career.
