Iran Sports Press : ISP correspondent Reza Ghazinouri had a brief conversation with Iran’s freestyle wrestler Ali Reza Dabir who is currently in Los Angeles to get treatment for his shoulder injury.
Dabir quashed rumours that he is about to retire from wrestling. He said that as soon as he gets the ‘OK’ from the doctors, he will be back in training. However, Dabir has been advised by his orthopaedist specialist to rest his shoulder for a year to avoid a recurrence of his injury. Dabir will then undergo a through examination, and should be back in training soon after.
Dabir expressed his confidence to wrestle for his beloved fans and country as soon as his injury is healed.
Dabir added that during his rehabilitation period, he is hoping to start a PhD programme at the Tehran University.
