Saudi Arabia won the First Islamic Solidarity Games football title on Wednesday
after defeating Morocco 1-0.

Yasser Al-Qahtani scored the sole goal of the match three minutes into the
second half, handing the home team a 1-0 win and the glittering gold.
. Iranian referee Mohsen Torki judged the game.
. Earlier in the day, Iran and Syria struggled to a scoreless draw in normal
time and spot-kicks decided the winner.
Iran converted all five penalties, but Syria found the net three times.
The solidarity games ended on April 20 in an olympics-style tournament aimed at
showing Muslim athletic prowess, with over 6,000 sportsmen from 55 countries.
