Iran volleyball team qualifies for Asian Games semifinal

Iran’s national volleyball team defeated Qatar on Sunday to book a berth in
the semifinal round of the 16th Asian Games.

In the match held at the Zhongda Gymnasium, Iran beat Qatar 3-1 (16-25, 25-16,
25-23, 25-14) and advanced to the semifinal round of the games.
Iran is scheduled to play Thailand, who has defeated India, on Wednesday. South
Korea and Japan also face one another in this stage.
