IranSportsPress.com: Reports in Germany indicate that Ali Karimi is on his way to Schalke 04 until the end of the season, if the two sides can agree personal terms.

Ali Karimi who is currently a free agent after being released by Steel Azin, was rumoured to be joining Tehran giants Perspolis, however, reports in Germany now suggest that Schalke boss Felix Magath is keen to add Karimi to his squad until the end of the season.

Ali Karimi played under Felix Magath between 2005-2007 at Bayern Munich, and scored 4 goals in 42 matches.

Magath showed his delight at signing the Iranian star by telling reporters "I am delighted that we have added an experienced player to our squad until the end of the season. Currently, we have problems linking our midfield and attack and Ali Karimi might be able to help us solve this problem. Karimi is a free agent, so his addition carries no financial risk”.
