Ali Karimi Joins Perspolis

IranSportsPress.com: According to the official website of Perspolis football club, Ali Karimi has joined the Reds after agreeing terms with the club on Wednesday.

Karimi met up with Perspolis chairman, Habib Kashani on Wednesday and agreed terms with the Hazfi Cup winners. Details of the deal have not been released yet.

Perspolis is currently without a head coach, however, Hamid Estili is expected to be named as the new head coach of the team within days.

Ali Karimi is one of the best known faces of Iranian football. He started last season with Steel Azin, but was then released by mutual agreement half way through the season. He then joined Bundesliga side Schalke for a five month contract.

Ali Karimi has played 112 times for Team Melli (Iran national football team), scoring 36 times.
