Iran women beat Jordan in football friendly
TEHRAN – Iranian women’s football team defeated Jordan in a friendly match held in Tehran’s Ararat Stadium on Monday.
The Iranian team beat Jordan 2-1 thanks to a brace from Maryam Rahimi.
“I am satisfied with my team’s performance. Hopefully, we will win our next friendly against Jordan which will be held on Wednesday,” Iran coach Helena Costa said.
“We conceded a goal after our player made a mistake in the first half. Our team is getting better and better,” he added.
Iran women football team is preparing for the FIFA Women's World Cup which will be held in Canada with the participation of the 24 teams from six confederations in July 2015.
