Nakata’s Goodwill Football Match

According to reports in Japan’s Sports Hochi, Nakata has planned a friendly match in Yokohama on June 7.

He hopes the game will raise awareness of environmental problems around the world. And, Nakata has invited Mourinho to take charge of his star-studded team.

The former Japan stalwart also sent out invitations to Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard, Chelsea duo Didier Drogba and Andriy Shevchenko.

Since retiring after the 2006 World Cup at 29 years old, Nakata has been travelling the world. He is also currently involved in charity work.

Matsui’s Goal Fail To Prevent Defeat

Le Mans crashed to a 5-4 defeat to Racing Lens in extra time in the French League Cup semi-finals on Wednesday. Japanese midfielder Daisuke Matsui netted on 66 minute to reduce the deficit to 4-3.

Le Mans striker Tulio’s goal forced the match into extra time. But Lens substitute Sidi Keita fired home the winner at the edge of the box to give his side a narrow win.
