The Gulf team will spend the second half of August in France before returning to Abu Dhabi. UAE could also arrange a test with Bahrain or Qatar.
According to UAE daily The National, Khalid bin Faris, technical director of the UAE FA, said: “A friendly with Japan or Uzbekistan will be an ideal warm-up game ahead of the national team’s opener with North Korea.
“North Korea are an unknown quantity but I guess a match with either Japan or Uzbekistan will be ideal for the UAE. We are also fortunate to play the first two matches at home, and if we can get a heady start, we can build on it.”
