Karimi is a fading star, he is ageing as well, while we are in imminent need of an outburst of young talents when dealing with foreign import for the new season, Al Ahly club spokesman told daily Al Yaum on Saturday; "We've been monitoring him throughout last season, he did well in the first stage, yet gave some inconsistent performances in the remaining two other stages. For the time being, the administration believes he is not our ultimate choice as a top foreign player, and we made that clear to his impresario who was recently in direct contact with us", he added.
Early this week, reports confirmed Tunisian international striker Francileudo Silva dos Santos, released by FC Sochaux of France, has also been refused by the Jeddah Greens who are looking after signing up two foreign players.
