The visitors took the lead in the tenth minute thanks to a volleyed goal from defender Sayed Adnan Mohammed.
It was a short-lived advantage as UAE were back on level terms midway through the first half as Ismail Matar scored from the spot.
UAE then took the lead six minutes after the restart as Mohammed al Shehhi gave his team the lead by heading home a free-kick from Subait Khater.

With 11 minutes remaining, UAE keeper Ismail Rabea fumbled a pass from Abdulla Ismail leaving Abdulla Dhakil to notch the winner.
UAE host North Korea next week in the opening match of Group B while Bahrain kick off Group A by facing Japan in Manama.
