New UAE coach announce Squad for S.Korea qualifier

Batheney took over from compatriot Bruno Metsu last week after the latter quit to take over the reins of the Qatar national team from Uruguayan Jorge Fossati.

Announcing a 22-member contingent for the October 9 tune-up against Japan in Niigata and the qualifier against Korea Republic five days later in Seoul, the new French trainer has made the minimum of changes.

Missing from the squad, however, are the suspended duo of Hilal Saeed and Subait Khater, while Batheney will be forced to do without Adel Abdulaziz and Ahmed Mubarak who are injured.

UAE lost their opening two matches to DPR Korea (2-1) and Saudi Arabia (2-1) and are currently last in the five-team Group B.
