Oman's Ali Al Habsi Keeps South Korea At Bay In Friendly
The Koreans couldn't find a way past Bolton's number two.

South Korea were held to a goalless draw by Oman in a friendly
in Dubai on Tuesday evening as they continued their preparation for a vital 2010
World Cup qualifier against UAE on June 6.
It was a frustrating night
for the 2002 World Cup semi-finalists as they couldn’t find a way past Ali Al
Habsi, who even saved a penalty late in the game.
Huh Jung-moo’s men,
leading Group B of qualification
, dominated proceedings but struggled to make
clear-cut chances on a sultry evening in Dubai.
Oman offered little in
the way of attack, content to let the Taeguk Warriors find a way through.
When that happened, Bolton Wanderers 'keeper Al Habsi was equal to
anything that the East Asians offered.
That was especially true with six
minutes remaining, when Ahmad Hadid gave away a penalty after bringing down Bae
Ki-jong in the box.
Al Habsi got down well to save the initial spot kick
from Ki Sung-yung and was even able to save the follow-up shot from the FC Seoul
midfielder.
