German gaffer Michael Skibbe has made it
clear that he will more than likely leave Bundesliga outfit Eintracht
Frankfurt at the end of the season, as the club are unable to match his
ambitions.
The 44-year-old was appointed Frankfurt boss at the
beginning of the season and has expressed his desire to strengthen the
Eintracht squad several times since.
However, Eintracht have
failed to make the signings Skibbe has been longing for, much to the
dismay of the former Galatasaray chief.
"It is important for me
to continue improving, and the club I coach need to develop as well if
the collaboration is to be successful," Skibbe said to Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
"However,
the current
situation is that Eintracht Frankfurt are not in a position to develop.
The club
cannot finance a new striker, but we desperately need a new attacker.
The players I have give everything they have got, but the squad lacks
depth.
"We
have reached our boundaries and, unfortunately, with this club we
cannot go beyond them. We have just lost too much substance to play
good football in the long term."
Eintracht currently sit 10th in the Bundesliga with 24 points from 17 league games.
