Iran national team is to hold a 15 day training camp in North of England at the end of July, during which it plans to play 5 friendly games.

Bolton who will play in UEFA Cup next season, Norwich who is currently battling relegation in English Premier League, and Millwall who finished 10th in England’s Championship (first division) have so far confirmed these games. These teams are expected to use Iran game as part of their pre-season training for 2005/06 season. The name of the other two teams have not been announced as of yet.

The head coach of the Iranian football team, Branko Ivankovic, who picked this training camp after a short visit to the country, hopes Iran is already qualified for 2006 World Cup when Iran meets Japan in their final World Cup qualifying game on August 17.

Iran is expected to be missing all its foreign based players for the England camp, as they will be expected to be in training with their clubs.
