In the second round of the championship, now underway in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk, Iran beat Uzbekistan 5-2 to celebrate its second consecutive victory in the competitions.
Hadi Hajian (55 kg), Mehdi Taqavi (60 kg), Reza Yazdani (84 kg), Amir-Abbas Moradi Ganji (96 kg) and Alireza Reza'i (120 kg) were the winners of the bout against Uzbekistan, while Hassan Tahmasbi (66 kg) and Hadi Habibi (74 kg) were defeated by their rivals.
Meanwhile, Russia beat its Ukrainian rival in the second round of the competitions to play Iran in the final on Sunday.
