Ali Daei Selects National team Assistants

(IranSportsPress.com)- Mohammad Ahmadzadeh, and Behzad Gholampour are two selected assistants by Ali Daei, announced today by Iran’s new coach.


In an announcement by Ali Daei, Mohamad Ahmadzadeh, current Malavan coach, is selected as Assistant coach and Behzad Gholampour, former National team goalkeeper and current Sorkhpooshan goalkeeper coach, is selected as Iran National team goalkeepers’ coach.

A German Assistant as well as a foreign physical trainer are also among Ali Daei’s suggestion as trainers, whom will be unveiled on Thursday March 13th. Iran National team’s medical team was also confirmed by Ali Daei which includes: Parham Khanlori, Alireza Shahab and Saeed Alousi.

However, Iran Football Federation and National team committee is first to approve Ali Daei’s suggested Assistants before they start off their official positions in Iran National team coaching crew.

In confirmation by Ali Daei, the new National team 30 men squad list will be announced by Thursday March 13th. Regarding the new squad, Ali Daei clarified the squad to be combination of young and experienced players and restated his personal desire to give more recognition to younger players. Ali Daei also mentioned his call-up qualification to be based on players’ inform condition disregarding their age.

Regarding his favourable stance towards playing a Friendly against Scotland, Ali Daei stated his frustration from organizing typical and similar friendly opponents, he showed his desire in playing Friendly games against teams, such as Scotland, that would pressure Iranian team and which would magnify Iranian team’s strengths and weaknesses.

Ali Daei also requested the cancellation of IPL’s Week 25 games due to National team training and if approved, Iran National team training will kick off on Friday March 14th. Iran National team will then depart to Bahrain on March 20th for the friendly encounter on March 21st. Iran National team will then head to Kuwait for their second 2010 World Cup Qualifying match against Kuwait National team to be held on March 26th.
