Iranian-born midfielder Mehrzad Madanchi has signed a one-year contract with Al-Nasr Football Club in the United Arab Emirates.

The contract is said to be worth more than $1.5 million, Mehr news agency reported Saturday. Madanchi became the third top scorer by scoring 15 goals for Al-Shaab in UAE's last season.
Al-Nasr coach, Croatian Luka Bonacic, has said he would like to use Madanchi and Reza Enayati as the team's forward players. Madanchi played with Fajr Sepasi for his hometown Shiraz before joining the most popular club in Iran, Persepolis F.C. He moved on to the Al-Shaab football Club in the UAE league in 2007.
