The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has made a list of the world''s most popular footballers amongst currently active players in 2009, in which Iran’s Steel Azin player Ali Karimi is 11th scoring 17.905 points in the list.
Mehdi Mahdavikia, who has recently joined Steel Azin from Eintracht Frankfurt, is 27th in the list with 6.429 points.
Carlos Alberto Pavon from Honduras’ Real CD España San Pedro Sula topped the list with 195.182 points.
