Also in the 25th week of the Iranian Premier League (IPL), Tehran's Esteghlal conceded its 8th defeat of the season after losing 0-1 to Sepahan at Azadi Stadium in Tehran. The goal was scored by Haj Safi in the 66th minute of the game.
Sepahan now leads the table with 43 points two points adrift of Persepolis while Saba Battery chases the two with 39 points.
