Fajr pours cold water on Esteghlal

Mid-table Esteghlal was ahead by Farhad Majidi’s goal at the end of the first half but referee Navid Mozaffari turned the match by showing the penalty spot in Sepasi’s favor. Mahmoud Mohamnmadi opened Esteghlal’s goal in the added time, despite the blues questioned the referee’s performance in the scene.

In another match, Saba Battery boosted its title hopes by beating Sanat Naft of Abadan 3-1 in Saba Shahr. Saba sprang into action with 51 points, behind Sepahan and Persepolis.
