A member of Persepolis managerial board said, “In a meeting held on Tuesday night, all of the members expressed their satisfactions with keeping Afshin Ghotbi in Persepolis as the head coach. They also emphatically said Habib Kashani is still the best choice to manage the club.”
“Persepolis plan to travel to the U.S. to hold some warm-up matches in preparation for a powerful presence in the AFC Champions League,” Hassan Bayadi added.
Persepolis clinched a dramatic championship victory in the 7th Iran’s Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
Coach Hamid Estili and some players such as Alireza Vahedi-Nikbakht have already announced they will leave Persepolis in the case of Ghotbi’s contract renewal.
