DUBAI – Brazilian striker Andre Dias scored a stoppage time equaliser as Al Wasl salvaged a 1-1 draw against Group B winners Saipa in their final group game in the AFC Champions League on Wednesday.

Saipa had sealed their place in the quarter-finals with a 1-0 home win against Kuwait Sports Club two weeks ago and appeared to be on course for their fourth victory of the group stage when Issa Traore gave them a first-half lead at the Zabeel Stadium
The Malian midfielder collected a long pass and went past two defenders before coolly chipping the ball over the advancing goalkeeper.
But Dias salvaged some pride for the Dubai side when he broke clear in injury time to level the score for the 2007 United Arab Emirates League champions.
