The second round matches of AFC Champions League quarter-finalists Saipa and 2007 AFC Champions League runners-up Sepahan have been postponed due to their players’ involvement in the West Asian Football Federation Championship.

Afshin Ghotbi’s side fell behind to a Veria Ghafoori strike in the 14th minute but Alireza Nikbakht restored the parity in the 36th minute.

Karim Bagheri netted a brace in the 74th and 90th minutes to give them the share of lead with Bargh and Zob Ahan with six points from two games.

Bargh defeated Malavan 3-0 while Zob Ahan sidelined Peykan 2-1. Farid Abedi (26) and Mehdi Shiri (32 and 54) were on target for Bargh while Mostafa Salehi Nejad (15) and Igor Castro (90) scored for Zob Ahan. Mohamad Reza Tahmasebi scored the only goal for Peykan in the 72nd minute.

In other matches, Pegah beat Esteghlal 1-0, Abu Moslem defeated Saba Battery by the similar scoreline, Mes thrashed Esteghlal Ahvaz 4-0 and Rah Ahan were held goalless by Moghavemat.
