TEHRAN – (IranSportsPress.com): Ali Karimi has been unveiled by Perspolis Football Club, after completing his loan move to the Iranian champions on Saturday.
Ali Karimi, who has lost his spot in Team Melli, completed his registration with Perspolis on Saturday, and joined his new team mates in the afternoon training session in Sherkate Vahed training ground in Tehran. Around 500 fans attended the training session to welcome Karimi to Perspolis.
Speaking to reporters, Karimi said “I am delighted to have returned to my home, Perspolis. I had promised that one day I will come back to Perspolis, and I am happy to be back today. Perspolis has a great group of players this season, and I hope we can be successful in both the domestic competitions, and also in Asia”.
Karimi went on to say that his return to Perspolis is unrelated to his possible return to Iran national football team.
According to Perspolis officials, "The Reds" have paid $350,000 to Qatar’s Olympic Committee to sign Karimi on a season-long loan. Karimi’s reported monthly salary is in the region of $8,000 a month.
