Davoud Daneshdust gave Abumoslem the lead again in the 71st minute with a superb shot from Persepolis’s box. Hossein Khani scored Abumoslem’s fourth goal 11 minutes before the time ran out.
Persepolis put its host under pressure and eventually Ali Karimi kept the Tehran based team’s hopes alive in the 87th minute but his header could not thwart Persepolis’ heavy defeat in Mashhad.
