Rahman Rezaei on brink of joining Persepolis

Free agent Rahman Rezaei is likely to join Tehran-based Persepolis in the upcoming days.

In a session held in Persepolis club on Sunday, the managerial board of the team decided to pen a contract with former Serie A Livorno defender.

Rezaei had already announced his preference to play in Iran’s Professional League (IPL) rather than in the European second class leagues.

The defending champions have lost two matches after 10 weeks in the IPL due to weaknesses in their defense.
