Persepolis anticipates beating Esteghlal in derby, Daei says
Persepolis football coach Ali Daei is optimistic that his team will defeat Esteghlal in Tehran’s derby at the Azadi Stadium on Wednesday.

Persepolis and Esteghlal, who are Iran’s most popular teams, will clash together in the 26th round of the Iran Professional League (IPL).
“We are determined to defeat Esteghlal in the derby and gain the three points of the match. Hopefully, the two teams will have an acceptable performance. Persepolis will try to impress its fans with a beautiful game and fair play,” Daei said in the Persepolis training session on Sunday.
Daei didn’t predict the result of the match and said, “We will do our best to beat Esteghlal.”
Esteghlal and Persepolis are third and fourth respectively in the IPL standings table both with 40 points.
