The formidable side kept the trophy at home with a 4-0 romp over struggling Lebanon in the final showdown.

In defiance of possessing the ball and field in the first half, the Iranian side failed to find the net, but the opener came seconds after the interval and the spree ended six minutes from normal time.

Earlier in the day, Iraq and Jordan fought to a tie in the third-place playoff, but it was the Iraqi team that had the last laugh, snatching the third spot.
