Iran's Saba Battery thrashes al-Qadsia

Iran's Saba Battery basketball team has won al-Qadsia of Kuwait at the 19th edition of the Asian Clubs Basketball Championship in Kuwait.

Saba Battery managed to defeat the Kuwaiti team 92-60 at al-Qadsia basketball court on Thursday evening.

Saba Battery's Hamed Hadadi was selected as the best player of the match.

The Iranian team is scheduled to play against al-Wasl of the UAE on Friday.

Saba Battery is in Group B along with al-Wasl of the UAE, India's ONGC and Harbour Center of the Philippines.

Some ten strong teams, representing 10 countries from across the continent, have participated in the 19th edition of the Asian Clubs Basketball Championship which began in Kuwait on May 8 and will end on 16.

Saba Battery was crowned at the 18th FIBA Asia Champions Cup which was held in the Iranian capital Tehran.
