The Iranian squad, coached by Hassan Rangraz, bagged four gold, two silver and one bronze medal to win the title with 72 points on Friday.
Iran's Saeed Abdevali (66 kg), Babak Qorbani (84 kg), Mohammad-Reza Akbari (96 kg), and Bashir Babajan (120 kg) won gold medals while Shirzad Beheshti (50 kg) and Mohsen Hajipour (55 kg) were awarded silver medals. Abuzar Nourzad took home the bronze in the 60 kg category.
Kazakhstan stood second place with 66 points. South Korea and Kyrgyzstan came in third and fourth with 52 and 51 points respectively.
Some 350 wrestlers from Iran, India, Iraq, Jordan, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, the Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Chinese Taipei, Uzbekistan and Qatar participated in the two-day event, which was held in the Academy for Sports Excellence ASPIRE.
