Pakistan made history when they beat South Korea 3-0 at Azadi Sports Complex. The green shirts also qualified for the World Junior Men’s Volleyball Championship. Pakistanis beat Koreans 25-20, 25-22, 27-25.
Thirteen countries have participated in the nine-day event that was hosted by Iran.
The Iranian side now qualifies for the World Youth Volleyball Championships to be held in Italy next year, as both the winner and the runner-up of the Asian tournament are guaranteed a place.
