Iran has been drawn in Group D along with Lebanon and Jordan. The team is scheduled to play Lebanon on Wednesday.
A total of 12 teams divided into four groups of three have participated in the competition.
The tournament stands for the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2011 World Men’s Handball Championship in Sweden.
