The lifter stood top with two golds and one silver as he kept 125kg and 173kg above his head in the snatch and clean-and-jerk attempts.
An Uzbek representative finished runner-up with the snatch gold and two overall and clean-and-jerk silvers he won after registering 130 and 155 marks.
Chang from Taiwan ranked third with a three-bronze asset he accumulated by lifting 113 and 142.
Behruzi second – again
Iran’s 62kg weightlifter Sajjad Behruzi again finished runner-up to his Chinese rival – this time at the juniors event Thursday.
In Monday’s youth competitions, Behruzi ranked second with three silvers after registering an overall 267kg record – 120 in snatch and 147 in clean and jerk.
The gold medal went to a Chinese lifter with 125 and 147 records and the representative of South Korea took bronze, lifting 116 and 148.
In the juniors category, the Iranian phenom hoisted 120 and 140, snatching three silvers while China’s representative grabbed the coveted gold, registering 123 and 141 marks.
A Malaysian contender took the third title as he lifted 105 and 137. |
