Iranian lifters to compete at Russia president cup

Iranian lifters Saeid Mohammadpour and Bahador Molaei will travel to Moscow on Friday to compete at the Russian Federation President Weightlifting Cup.

94kg Saeid Mohammadpour won a bronze medal at the World Weightlifting Championships held in Paris, France in November. 

Bahador Molaei will participate in the event in the super heavyweight category. 

Kourosh Bagheri will lead the double team in the president cup. 

The first Russian Federation President Weightlifting Cup will take place in Belgorod on December 16-18. 

The disposal of The Russian Federation President Weightlifting Cup foundation was signed by Russian Federation President Dmitry Medvedev on February 3, 2011.

World’s strongest weightlifters as well as the strongest representatives of Russian team are invited to participate in this tournament.

The competition is included in official event calendar of International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), which gives it official status not only on the territory of Russia, but also all over the world.
