Ehsan Rouzbahani and Mehdi Toloutibandpi onto round of 16
Iranians Eshan Rouzbahani who competes in the light heavy-weight, along with teammate Mehdi Toloutibandpi competing in the light-weight division are onto the round of 16th after defeating their opponents.
Ehsan Rouzbahani scraped passed his Columbian opponent Jeysson Monroy in an evenly fought matched which had had resulted in a tie going into the final round. Rouzbahani connect with two right hands in the dying seconds of the final round to come victorious by the score of 12-10. Rouzbahani is scheduled to face Bahram Muzaffer of Turkey on Saturday August 4th at 22:45 local time. His opponent received a bye on the first round and will face his first opponent in the round of 16th.
In the 64Kg Light Welter division, Mehdi Toloutibandpi had an easier time against his Spanish counterpart Alonso Flete and came out victorious by the score of 16-12. He is scheduled to meet Daniyar Yeleussinove of Kazakhstan on Saturday August 4th at 15:00 local time. Yeleussinove breezed past Jamel Herring of USA by the score of 19-9.
