Ehsan Haddadi Returning to Iran due to Financial Problems

(IranSportsPress.com) - According to reports, Iran’s first Olympic silver medalist in the track and field competition will be returning to Iran from the United States because of financial issues. Haddadi stated, “During my stay in the United States I’ve had the best training in which I never had the opportunity in previous years” he continued “each week I had 9 different sessions for body building, running, physical therapy, and massages which I personally paid. But this was the best opportunity for my preparations and training and in previous years I was not able to do because of various competitions.”

The Olympic silver medalist in the 2012 London Olympics continues, “During this time I was able to lose some weight even though I am not considered a heavy guy in my sport. I want to concentrate more on my techniques in preparation for the games in Moscow.”

In regards to the coaching situation Haddadi said, “the main reason I am still in the United States is to choose the best coach so I gain the best experience and get the best results for the next Olympics and I am sure I will be able to achieve that because my techniques are the best in the world.“

The discus thrower then continues, “one of the coach I’ve worked with is from Germany and we worked together for a short time and it’s been decided once I meet with officials in the federation I will tell them my choice for the best coach.“

The 28 year old Haddadi finishes by saying, “I wanted to stay longer but I’ve been paying for everything out of my own pockets and I haven’t received any financial assistance from our federation so that’s why I am returning back to Iran.”
