Iran to host 2013 WABA Championship

TEHRAN, Jan. 31 (MNA) – The 2013 WABA (West Asian Basketball Association) Championship will be held in Tehran, Iran from February 7 to 11.
The competition will bring four teams, namely Iran, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq together.
Syria withdrew from the competition.
The two best teams excluding Iran will qualify for 2013 FIBA Asia Championship.
The 2013 FIBA Asia Championship will be held from August 1–11 in Manila, Philippines. The competition serves as the qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain.
